Deadrats The black borders you see are there for movies that are not 1.778 aspect ratios (which is most movies look at the box of the movie, it should list the AR)

Lets take a 1080p tv as an example. It can display 1920 ... I think the whole purpose of a contest is to s ... Formated softsubs won't display as formatted! - I guess you need the vsfilter for ass filters to be shown correct. But I don't know any tool that can keep the positions when you convert to dvd switchable subtitles, the only method I know is to use dvdsubedit after as ZQX mentions.... problem playing MKV file on a strong computer - I changed my power settings on my laptop from "power saving" to "high performance" and it worked!! :) the videos are now crisp and clear! :)
Thanks for all your help!... No sound when capturing video ??? - I'd been doing video editing for long, however, have never come across this rather peculiar problem.
I use VideoPlus v11 to do my video capture, editing & then DVD authoring.
When I capture video this time, I've no sound at all coming through. All I get is just the video. I've done the diagnosis to the best of my ability.

AFAIK it has been superceded by Muxman Pro (you need to pay to register it) (worth it btw!)
I do agree tho' that you need to search around forums for guides/instructions But once you start searching, you soon realize that it is a very rock-solid/trustwor ... Editing .mov files and .ifo/.vob files - 1. Try MPeg streamclip or quicktime pro .
2. DVD shrink in the reauthoring mode.
Does mpeg streamclip recode the video after editing?... AVC passthrough not working - Downloaded Y version and it will read the audio codec as long as one recodes AVC to AVC.
Is there a dummy codec that could subsitute for the x264 codec?

What you describe sounds more like pixel lag where it stays lit too long which might show up on slow refresh screens with fast action. As you suggest, it could also be the effect of the quality of the video image processor.
