  1. I wish this vile human being would just crawl in a hole and go away. Hes
about the unfunniest person ever and anti-christ to boot.

  2. last friday’s real time was on good form as always.. just discovered this
live show of Bill Maher on youTube #politics #standup

  3. For the love of God and all that is holy. Watch this man’s specials and go
out and get a fucking education. Holy shit. I knew America had some dumb
ones, but I never knew how dumb things were until now. I am so glad I am
not political or religious. I’m spiritual to some degree however..I guess.
    Lol.

  4. You likely won’t respond, but this is utter trash. Seen three hours of
this. You are entitled to your opinion but need to be reminded of something
here. Genocide (Gene – genetic, cide – death or to kill). We are not being
subjected to forced integration. but equal rights are being offered to
everyone and some projects are geared at giving a chance to people that
    were unfortunate in their start.

  5. People who hate religion shouldn’t in turn, hate God or people who have the
freedom to believe in him. God has no fault for man’s mistakes. There are
plenty of religious people who are not extremists and live a humble life.
Similarly, religious people shouldn’t judge, kill and condemn those who
have the freedom not to believe in God.

  6. /watch?v=–OXL7okqIw watch this… you may not do anything because you go
to hell. If you do, you will be fined by money.

  7. I clicked the thumbs up instead of reply in error. I don’t understand why
you are on this page commenting on his video if you don’t like him to begin
with? Also his problem is with religion altogether and even more so with
organized religion. I never heard of practicing religion recreationally.
Its more of a you believe or you don’t in general and then you pick the
religion that speaks to you the most. You cant believe there is a god
    ‘recreationally’

  8. I really wish this guy had had more time to go on about ignorance and
irrationality. Politics does seem to be a game rigged to fail, a game that
people aren’t very good at playing.

Bad biases do appear to be a bad thing, as does willful ignorance, but I
haven’t contemplated willful irrationality as its own thing. Is it a
problem if the people don’t vote? Theory says their consumption choices
should count for votes too, but that’s a much better thing, isn’t it?

Maybe the root cause of everything that’s broken in politics isn’t the fact
that people are biased and irrational, but the implementation of politics
    itself.

  9. Free trade? no body wanted saudi arabia running US ports or Chinese state
owned companies buying up oil companies in Texas. Economics is the most
failed science of all the sciences.

  10. Stats are funny, but far from convincing… It is not very likely that the
war(s) were fought solely to defeat terrorism committed on American soil.

  11. the thing is a nation is not built based solely upon rationality. it’s more
complex than that. what about love of nation, patriotism, etc? Isn’t those
likely being driven by irrationality? and I don’t think that irrationality
is similar with ignorance: someone that has gathered large amount of
information related to some issues could be doing on irrational way either.
Irrationality is not something that should be negated from politics, in
fact, it has to be taken into account when someone talking about politics.
Just remember: Irrationality is not same as violence.

  12. i think it’s more laughing at themselves, because the traits he mentions
for irrationality i think are things we’re probably all guilty of at times.

  13. IRRATIONALITY: Are you irrational? Does evidence confirm your views or
change them? I may have to revise my opinions of philosophers as I quite
    like Michael Huemer.

  14. Rationalism at its common sense. The best take-away point was “Political
information is costly.” Explaining political ignorance and irrationality. I
wish more people could apply this principle here.

  15. An interesting talk on why politicians introduce irrational policies and
why voters irrationally vote for politicians pushing those policies.

  16. This is a great talk about irrationality in politics, from TEDxMile High.
Check yourself against the challenges he gives at the end.
