  1. That is exactly right Joel. A lot of people who hate on Apple doesn’t stop
long enough to think about that. We all should show gratitude for what he’s
    done for all of us.

  2. Decades later our children and grandchildren will be watching this video.
This moment showcases a genius at the top of his game and a product that
    revolutionized mobile technology.

  3. This is the beginning of the disaster. Ohhhh shit!, I wish crApple never
invented that shit called iPhone. Many IDIOT thinks that they are the first
to create fulltouchscreen phone. And the apple vs samsung thing, rounded
corner, rectangular shit, ahhh…forget about it.

  4. While I do not like Apple as much today as I did 2 years back, I have to
admit that the iPhone was a pretty revolutionary device.

Think about it. What would Android or Samsung be like now if the iPhone
    didn’t exist?

  5. 2:10 What an under applauded part of those 3 points. The people don’t know
that it plays a very major role in the smartphone industry today. Very, and
I meant like a lot. Heck, most of the time we’re on the smartphone was to
    get on the Internet anyways.

  6. Wonder why all the Apple “Fan Boys” are forgotten wich day is today…. 9
Jan, 7 years ago the iPhone was revealed…..
Congrats to all the iPhone Lovers,…., not for me……..

  7. I like how people claim Apple stole /everything/ they’ve ever made. Yet
they are the first to actually build and ship it. If nothing they do is
/new/, why does everything change in the industry every time they have
their hand in it? Why is it we’ve never seen these products before until
Apple unveils them? How can Apple have patents on what people claim to be
stolen? Why didn’t the companies patent it before Apple? Why isn’t anyone
else publishing their products? Why is it that once Apple releases products
like the iPhone, all of a sudden /all companies/ now have the exact same
phone design. Why couldn’t the companies Apple stole from release their
phone before Apple released their iPhone? If they had it first, why
    couldn’t they ship it first?

If Apple really stole every product they own, how dumb are all these other
companies for letting it happen /every/ /single/ /time/?

  8. what seems so standard to us today must have been incredibly revolutionary
back then. this must have been so cool to experience the iphone for the
    first time.

  9. This video is going to be a history, people in hundred years of time will
come back and see how the first touch screen phone in it’s generation was
invented and everyone’s reaction at the time. They’ll also see how people
used to appreciate eveything and now we only complain.

  10. steve: bill, do you know there is no wall or fence in heaven. Bill: so.
Steve: that means there are no windows or gates

  11. 7 years ago today! One of the most important products ever made and still
one of the best 7 years later! No one did a presentation better either. RIP
    Steve Jobs

  12. This was Apple’s greatest product launch

iPad was not as surprising since we already saw the OS
Macintosh came after Lisa, so GUI was already introduced.

The iPhone was just completely unexpected and truly looked like a thing
from the future when you first saw it.

  13. It is NOT five years ahead of any other phone lol. It has only been 6 years
and new, other non-iPhone phones make this look like child’s play. This was
GREAT though, back when Apple was still innovating. Now all Apple does is
remain the most reliable producer of phones but it is still lacking what it
    once had.

  14. Phones have gotten so far. Like there’s a Nokia phone with a 41 megapixel
camera and the Xperia Z1 is way bigger and thinner than the iPhone

  15. just 6 years ago and this seems so insignificant. technology we now say is
outdated. the sky once was the limit for this world, but not anymore.
