  1. WATCH *Some Customer Service Faux Pas* that have made it into TV and the
movies — *Careful* … I sure hope that no one is guilty of actually doing
    any of these!

  2. One of the quickest ways to lose business is through bad customer service.
Here is a #montage from various popular films that illustrates customer
    service gone wrong.

  3. I love this clip, too bad it does tell a serious story, bad customer
service is death to the sales drive company…

  4. “Planes, Tranes and Automobiles” “Seinfeld” “Falling Down” “Fast Times at
Ridgemont High” Don’t know the cop one

  5. Dear ol’ Customer Service…That communication channel is so vital, and so
is turnaround time. I found a website called Hellopeter (dot) com which
allows me to write reports about my Suppliers (all of them) and then give
them a fair chance to respond to me. You should check it out!

  6. You don’t need to go far to see bad customer service. just go to any
government institution where they deal with the public. like the DMV.
basically, they don’t ‘owe’ you shit, so they can do whatever they want. I
once came to the dmv, waited in line for half an hour (it was a very short
line) and as I approach the register, ask my questions, the phone rings.
the worker picks it up, and just speaks with whomever for 10 minutes, while
I stand there and look at her like an idiot.

  7. Oddly enough, where I live the DMV actually does a pretty good job at
delivering customer service. Some are friendly and personable for an inner
city understaffed government office. At their worst they are just neutral.

  8. Lots of places have bizarre protocol for phone calls. For instance, at my
work, management demands we pick up the phone within 2 rings even if we are
serving customers that actually took the time to come to our shop. It’s
been like that at the majority of jobs I’ve worked.
