Google Reader is RIP
Staying on top of the latest real estate news, how do you?

I use a Reader – being an Apple Fan – I have the Feeddler Pro App I have
downloaded on my iPhone and iPad.
You are also going to need a “online” reader.. I had used Google Reader,
but sadly it has been scrapped.. 🙁
Onto bigger and better things – Now I use FeedHQ.org – It’s 12 bucks a
year, but has all my feeds I have put together over the years and sends
those to Feeddler Pro, so I have the FRESHEST articles of any sort I choose.
What resources should you subscribe to? Anything you want. As far as
keeping on the cutting edge of real estate news – here are a few I ready
daily:
Inman News
money.cnn
Realty Times
RIS media
Reuters
Real Estate on All-top
This makes great sharing material in our Real Estate community too!
Plus, after you digest this in our own virtual on-line newspaper that has
only content you want to read, you are off to the races and be the “one to
talk to” at your next cocktail party, fundraiser, or during your next phone
call with a prospective client.
I was going to put this in Real Estate Tools – but there is so much you can
keep abreast of with a Reader…. So – I have decided to leave it in

Seeing how much interesting articles I share each day, many people ask me
how much time I spend browsing through the Internet. Mind you, when they
ask, it’s obvious from their skeptical tone that they’re thinking of me
sitting in front of my monitor all day looking for these things; in short,
wasting my time, since I’m not a journalist.
But the truth is, I spend just about 20-30 minutes a day browsing through
over two hundred articles and share only the good stuff with the world. The
method is in fact nothing special; using an #RSS feed. Anyone who’s even
slightly tech savvy will already have been doing the same thing for years,
so this is nothing to brag about.
For those of you unfamiliar with the efficiency of RSS feeds, here’s an old
video that explains it. Although the material is dated, the essentials are
still the same.
Remember, it’s all about efficiency.
