  1. Doing what’s right is never just political. Obamacare, affordable health
care or whatever you want to call it, is obviously causing some major
fundamental concerns. Politically speaking, our governance along with the
Fed has systematically and methodically increased the price of virtually
everything you need to feel any sense of freedom. Obamacare is no
different. The young people here know not of the freedom I speak that was
apparent 30+ years ago. All you needed then was the tiniest bit of
willingness to work to have more money in your pocket than you needed to
actually live – not just survive. That is all gone now. The politicians,
the bankers, the federal reserve, the petroleum industry and more have all
conspired to get as much of your money as they can while keeping you
completely distracted or hypnotized with a war on this or a war on that,
ever working to separate you from your freedom and sanity. Even putting the
word care next to Obama is in diametric opposition to sanity, and I voted
    for the man – once.
    Is your coffee done yet?

  2. These political games are costing the 50% of the citizens (The Taxpayers)
    $trillions.
How can any President have this much power to CHANGE a Law? Didn’t Obama
say “The ACA is Law”? The mandate is headed to the shit house.

  3. The White house has proven that everything they are doing and have been
doing since the Obama administration has taken over was politically
    motivated!

  4. I think if business did no go overseas to then be shiped back to americans
to buy..then we would still be prospering and corporate america would
advertise help wanted “come to work good pay and benefits” (they would
    cover HUMAN CAPITALS HEALTH CARE)

  5. Democrats lost Americas first Civil War because they enslaved Black people.
Democrats will lose the second one because they attempted to enslave
    everyone else.

  6. “I’m sure the cynics will point out…” ?

So will anyone else who doesn’t have their nose tightly wedged up Obama’s
ass. Just another worthless CNN lib mouthpiece.

  7. You lie! As recently as the Super Bowl interview, Obama The Messiah
insisted that ObamaCare is a work of perfection. Nancy Pelosi would admit
nothing less even in the Confessional. Harry Reid cries every night in
gratitude to Obama for being the 3rd Coming of Christ in the history of Man
and on his watch in the Senate.

  8. “The problem with socialism isn’t that it doesn’t work, it’s that it’s
    immoral”

I would like this idiot to explain to me where in history has there been a
society where workers controlled the means of production, and how this is
“immoral.” Another brain dead right wing proprietarian, ignorant of history
    and ignorant of political philosophy.

  9. Chomsky still amazes me. One of the greatest intellectuals in human
history, despite what his detractors say about him.

  10. People are rejecting the left-right divide and conquer nonsense. Almost 80%
of America now completely rejects mainstream news of all types. The same
mainstream news that is a tool off war promotion and that includes the
bogus war on terror. The USA people still support true healthcare reform to
assure all receive healthcare at affordable prices that doesn’t kill like
so many mainstream medical things seem to.People are very much awake and
that aren’t going tho shut by and take much more of this. We deserve much
    better.

  11. NOAM CHOMSKY WAS ON TYT INTERVIEW WITH CENK UYGUR??? How did I miss this?
My life just got so much more awesome (which says more about me than
    anything else, I guess…)

  12. I would love the opportunity to debate Chomsky. I think I could beat him. I
guess the only way to get that opportunity would be to take his class at
MIT, no doubt he would fail me if I didn’t agree with his typical
    left-wing-academia dogma.

  13. One thing about Chomsky, he always looks “back”. Sure, that is important
for framing the world as it has become today but it used to corner the
argument and hold it there. He is very old fashion, he seems to derive all
answers from lessons learned from the past. At no moment ever in his life
does he ever say “we don’t know”. As a very primitive civilization we have
a long way to go before we will have any answers. It’s just another case of
someone wanting something for themselves before their death sentence is
    carried out.

  14. I saw Noam Chomsky speak in Binghamton NY years ago and it was by far the
best speech that I have ever heard. What a brilliant man!!

  15. Is there any of the following you would already find immoral: 1. Someone
force you to do what they want, such as a robber on the street. 2. Someone
forces you to do what they want and a majority approves of it, such as the
tax man or Obama with his health law. What is the difference between the
two save the approval of the majority (assuming that we have that)?

  16. Yeah, one of the “20 greatest minds” of the 20th century. What hyperbole.
Look at the state of technology at 1900 and that of 2000 and then tell me
that it didn’t took more than 19 minds greater than Chomsky’s to do all
that. What, exactly, did he do? Some mediocre stuff in compsci I remember
from studying, what else? He’s a political nut, and you like his ideology –
    that’s all.

  17. “…and the system works very well.” Coercive systems can work reasonably
well, that’s why I don’t think it’s smart to argue against them from a
utilitarian point of view. The problem with socialism isn’t that it doesn’t
    work, it’s that it’s immoral.

  18. Public funding is such a misnomer. If I wanted it I’d fund it myself
voluntarily. You think the gov’t has the right to take your money by force
and then decide what charity you’d like to donate it to? You think that is
the best system? I should think the success of crowd funding and
kickstarters would be proof that taxation for the sake of ‘public funding’
is unsound as well as immoral.

  19. Noam Chomsky is Professor Emeritus at MIT, and one of the nation’s leading
intellectual critics of the US political, corporate and national security
apparatus. In this long interview, Cenk Uygur of TYT and Professor Chomsky
discuss President Obama, the rightward shift of US politics over the past
few decades, drone strikes, the labor movement, Aaron Swartz, the role of
the media and what hope we have for the future.
