  1. Glad you found the comment helpful. And what you said is exactly right. You
definitely need to way both “money” and “like” into the equation and come
up with the best possible answer. We do all have to live in the real world,
so diving into a career with no upside might not make sense even if it’s
doing something you love. You just have to create your own balance that
    makes you comfortable.

  2. The career of a sage is of two kinds: He is either honored by all in the
world, Like a flower waving its head, Or else he disappears into the silent
    forest. ~~Lao Tzu~~

  5. Great comment – money, while important, will not always be the biggest
reason for taking a job or switching industries. Be sure to weigh your
    interests against pay.

  6. Pretty helpful list. It’s always great to know demand before making a
decision. However, I would caution job seekers that they need to heavily
weigh how much they actually like a certain field before making it their
life. For example, don’t become a software developer because you think you
will be able to get a well-paying job in that field unless you are actually
    interested in software development.
