  1. Thanks for the upload.Knew them from the great comp.Hicks From The
Sticks, now known as Future Shock, but didn’t hear of an album, ever. This is
    really good.

  2. Talking of Marvel, notice the reference to ‘ The Savage Sword Of Conan ‘ in
the title track. I also remember them doing a session for Kid Jensen ( of
all people ) where they did a great song called ‘ Garland Leaves ‘ Somebody
    put this stuff out there!

  3. I heard this band on John Peel’s radio show and bought the album on vinyl
in 1981. I would like to get a CD version. I saw them play at the Marquee
that summer and they were great. I loved the album and it sounds good. The
band is largely forgotten today, but I never understood why they failed to
    find an audience.

  4. All time greatest forgotten 80’s band who should’ve been massive. I got
into them because their keyboard player was a comic artist who did some
stuff for Marvel and then I checked out the band- Amazing album!

  5. OMG. Im so glad this album is here. I saw this band twice at the Marquee
Club in 1981. The second time I knew I was a fan but, do you know what?
That was the last time I was to see them. They never played ever again.
Such a shame. I kept looking out for them but they just disappeared.
Tragic. For me at least. This album was the soundtrack to my summer 1981.
This band should get back together even though it is over 30 years since
they last played. Just to play this classic album in full. YES

  6. One of my favourite albums of all time. Have it on vinyl but hard to find
now. Don’t think this was ever released on cd?

  8. Thank you Sagichus for posting this classic recording which includes the
‘Inevitable’ singles too as extra tracks. Fiction Tales along with From the
Lions Mouth by The Sound, Sleep no More by The Comsat Angels, The Splendour
of Fear by Felt and What Does Anything Mean? Basically by The Chameleons
rank among the best recordings ever made in the eighties.

  9. St. Ides is where it’s at, but I’ll have to agree with Dom, Hurricane
fueled many a drunken night, and was smoother than some of the other
    garbage.

  10. Wow, i love this podcast. Just saw it a few hours ago and I’ve made it my
goal to catch up with it before too long. Really glad to see the return of
Throm, by the way. The absolute best character. There just needs to be
“Unfukwittable” on a T-Shirt, I would wear the FUCK out of it.

  11. Same thing happened to me when I was about 15. Gave some guy 5 or 10 bucks
to get us some beer, and he walked off with it. I was angry at the time,
    but it’s pretty funny now.

  12. Hey Dom and/or Josh, where do you find that awesome 8-16 Bit music that you
use for transitions? If you could list the games or artists they come from
that would be awesome. Also if this could get a cartoon on Adultswim of all
the tales that would be awesome. Like 15 minutes for each story, two in an
episode. Get on it Ted Turner GODDAMMIT!
