One of the best mafia films ever seen. gives a real-life insight into John
gotti and the Castellano hit. A lot of places make out the hit was
motivated by simple greed by Gotti, but you can see how complex it was from
this film, the mafia politics, the way the underboss was stepped over, and
the way Castellano ran the family was a depature from the street style
Gotti was from, no respect or honour. Gotti’s undoing was his ego and
vanity, but he was a likeable guy and not the monster some make him to be.
Anthony Quinn was such a great actor.

This movie sucked. It was two hours of laughably vacuous dribble, and the
guy who played Gotti was the worst actor actor in it.

I know this is just an HBO movie, but there’s just something about it…
I’ve probably watched it 30 times since it came out and even made an audio
version of it to listen to in my car. hahaha A little extreme, but there
are just so many sound bites that I really enjoy. Fantastic performances by
all. These men were no heroes, however; I like the movie but the reality is
far less worthy of admiration. These guys are just pirates and criminals
who couldn’t hack making their way in legitimate society, though a man like
Gotti could have undoubtedly done great things were his attention on more
lofty goals.

People admire these people for their toughness and other reasons but people
don’t realize they were also pure EVIL. John Gotti, Sammy, and every single
one of those mobsters deserved to get their balls slowly sliced to pieces
and at the same time their intestines being pulled out. They were
practically devils, they killed innocent people without a second thought.
They have qualities people naturally admire but you can have those
qualities without being a devil.

When Gotti’s associate was talking about spiks,jews and niggas Gotti said
cut that shit out their is only one race.This is why he was loved.
No neighborhood is safe with these kind of homicidal delinquents running
around. Whether it is back then or now. But all evildoers do get what is
coming to them sooner or later if they don’t repent from their ways. Look
at Gotti for instance.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I heard they never found the body of Gotti’s
neighbor. They definitely whacked him but not like that.
When the Mafia was still around we didn’t have the amount of street crime
we have today. Thank you Bobby Kennedy for spearheading the drive to gut
the people your father called in his favors to get your brother elected.

Gotti was an excellent movie that you could learn to respect about trust
and family and justice.
