  1. Thanks for posting, I watched this in LA back then, the announcer did a
wacky introduction, lot of echo and played it for laughs, “hellooooooo
    dair, kiddies”….something like that.

  2. Thank you. Do you have the Roller Game of the Week theme which was on
channel 5 (KTLA) during the early 60’s.

  3. Love this, love this. Me and my brother would watch this with dad in the
early ’60s (1961-1962) on the old black and white set in Torrance, CA. Wish
someone could download the beginning of this program with the fog and
castle with the announcer’s voice. Those were the days…

  4. Oh boy! Does this bring back memories! I was hoping to hear the announcer’s
voice again, too. He went on to announce for Seymour. I wrote a fan letter
to this show one time, and I was actually sent a “self portrait”, drawn in
pencil. I still have that imaginative pencil drawing of the unseen
character we heard through the fog. Thank you!

  5. The “Strange Tales” theme is one of our Holy Grail finds. I looked for it
for years, not knowing it was by Creed Taylor and his orchestra and Kenyon
Hopkins. It is available on a three CD set that is not costly and well
worth the small price. I did know that the theme was titled, “Out Of This
World,” thanks to the former music librarian at Channel 9 in Los Angeles.
There are no real PR departments anymore. Nick Campbell

  6. I have been looking for this song on You tube for so long and finally here
it is. Amazing! I would sit home on Saturdays just to hear the music and
watch the movie. BTW, the gentleman that used to do the voice -overs for
Strange Tales was Wayne Thomas. Sadly, he passed in ’09.

  7. Yes, it was a great science fiction venue. It took me years to find out who
did this theme. It is on a speical collection now and is very inexpensive.
Just look up Kenyan Hopkins and the Creed Taylor Orchestra at Amazon.com.
It’s a four-for-one-collection and is on “Panic, Son of Shock.” This is
“Out of This World.” I think the CD sells for $12.99. Nick

  8. OMG – thanks for uploading this – I so remember the show as a kid in the
early 60’s in Redondo Beach; Frankenstein’s Daughter, Gog, Man from Planet
X – the best! The opening scene with the deserted castle…those were the
    days.

  9. Edward tell me about it, I use to watch all the Science Fiction movies when
I was a kid on Strange Tails of Science fiction, that and CHILLER. Those
were the day’s. I just listen to this theme and went back in time. Black &
White set here also. square wooden Frame.

  10. Just so you will know the recording was just released in a four CD set by
the Creed Taylor Orchestra and it isn’t expensive!
